Studio visits: Aude Pariset, Ciarán Walsh, Johannes Vogl…plus, Peres Projects!September 26, 2013
On Wednesday we really gave the U Bahn a workout, starting in Friedrichschain at Peres Projects’ fantastic new space for Mark Flood/Mike Lood’s exhibition ‘ASK OFFICER PEPPERSPRAY’. Aude Pariset then hosted us in her nearby studio where we were able to see original pieces starting from the FX Tridanca series, to her most recent exhibition ‘Exposing: The Guest Rules’ in LA.
Across town to Kurfürstenstr. to meet with Ciarán Walsh. In a couple of weeks he is off to his native Ireland for the group exhibition ‘In The Line of Beauty’, marking the relaunch of the Irish Museum of Modern Art. Finally, in Pankow, Johannes Vogl must have sensed our epic journey as he welcomed us to his studio with cold beers. He has only recently been back in Berlin but has been very busy, exhibiting in the Wirksworth Festival, UK; Beautiful Minds, Kleine Humboldt Galerie, Berlin; and ‘Expansion’, Siemens Sanat, Istanbul.
